The speed of sound in an ideal gas can be represented by the equation:
  v = √[γRT/M]
where
     M = molecular weight of the gas (air = 28.95)
     T = temperature of gas in absolute unit
     R = universal gas constant (= 8314 J/kmol.K)
     γ = adiabatic constant = ratio of specific heats of the gas (air = 1.4)
